Does anybody know how to wire up this type of 9 prong turn signal. Or does anybody have a picture of one already wired in. And its for a 67 VW baja. I also tried the other 9 prongs and they are not the same. Any clues.

Looks like a one-off homebrew, so who knows?!
You'll have to diagram it and figure it out.

Blue relay

49 --- Black wire
49a ---- white --black/green/white (connect w t-tap) all 49a's together
49a blue/green
31-- brown

Red relay

49 -- red
49a riveted push on connector ---brown
49a -- light blue(wire from seperated below)
49a--- 2nd riveted connector --black green
31---brown

Separate the blue wire from black/green/white wire.

I'm sorry but when it comes to electrical I'm in the 2nd grade. The wires coming out of the steering column are:
Black
Green connected (factory) to black/green (left blinker?) with another black/green wire open
White/black (factory) connected to white/black (right blinker?) with another white/black wire open
Brown
Brown/white (high beam headlight?) connected to the headlight relay

9 prong I have:
Brown on the 31 connector (red)
White on the 49a(blue)

Headlights, taillights, clearance lights all work, just no blinkers.
Again thanks for the help; I know I am close just need the push/kick to get it right.

looks like I made a little mistake.

On the Red relay

49a --- There are 2 diodes (red things) One will get a Black/white and the other will get a black/Green
49A also gets the light blue wire.
31--- is brown
49 --- Red
Brown wire from old flasher goes on 31 .

Maybe this will help us get on the same page because I CANT get it to work and I still have a few extra wires. Also I have a resistor of some kind on top that was connected but its not now. I really do appreicate your help. There is one guy in town here that works on VW but its a business and all he does is restore them and he doesn't want to help anybody A-hole bad.

So call the relay with the two diodes "red" and follow the directions .

The two diodes are for the left and right outputs .

Give me an address and I'll copy this off and send it to you.
