Hi Folks! After looking for a decent radio for my car, I guess I found one interesting (the front grill is missing):
See her naked!
I´m not pretty sure about the year of this (first?) model of Montecarlo... I read in some specialized webs it is made around 1954, so in this case, it will suit nice in my 03-57 as a "rare" piece. As you can see, tubes are Telefunken.
What can you tell me about this model? is it "correct" for an Oval?
By the way... if someone have the electric datasheet for this model, I´ll very gratefully!!! |

Anyway, but the info posted, there´s not certainly much info in internet about this model (history, model-shared tubes, knobs...) so any added info will be good received!! |

Thank You Water Guy! As far I know, the "Montecarlo" mentioned in the Becker official web, was the first Solid State autoradio that Becker made. Maybe ti is the one mentioned by Bob (1961):
http://www.mbclassics.co.uk/stock/detail.php?id=61
It has another kind of display and is called "MonteCarlo TG" model (I don´t know what´s the difference...)
This one has a diff display too:
The link says it is from 1954, and the info posted by IN2VWS appears to be fron 01-59. So I have a "hole" of 5 years between IN2VWS info and web.telia.com ...
I asked Radiomuseum.de for more details & diagrams, but you´ve to be member so... that`s all I have by the moment :? |
