Hi all,
There was a bug featured in VolksWorld a couple of years back that had a suicide door on one side and a regular door on the other...

This was on ebay awhile back and looked pretty nice. I saved the pictures because it looked like something I might want to try sometime.

Check the pics in my gallery, and the other links in my signature.
Ive seen lots of suicide doors attempted, and lots of half-a** setups too. They need to be done right, or not at all. Get it wrong and you'll ruin your car.
That said, I made my own hinges and engineered my own "kit". Mine has hidden hinges (not stock exposed VW hinges), and unlike many- my hinges fit completely inside the B-pillar. They are virtually invisible from the inside and outside with the doors closed. I also used bronze bushings in my hinges. For latches, make sure you use a quality double latching latch. I used "bear claw" latches. They fit great and work awesome. |

| I would leave your doors alone. Don't hack it up! |

| I have a stupid question, but does the suicide door option make entry/exit to and from the vehicle easier? or is it just for looks? I have never driven a car with doors like that. My pickup has rear suicide doors on the clubcab. But those are a poor example. There is no easy way to get in or out of that tiny back seat. |

I just looks at your pics. A little more light is all I am going to suggest for the pics that show the hinges in action on the car; otherwise, they look amazing. |
