I am looking to buy a vw beetle. Not sure what year model we will end up with. Probably between 1965-1978. I was wanting to know if we can install air conditioning without too much trouble.

Joyce, There are a couple of reputable dealers for aftermarket VW A/Cs. (Maybe more)
You are in between these two so take your pick.
Ed at Gilmore is probably more flexible with specialty installations but both companies are reasonable.
Talk to both companies and discuss your needs. Then you will need someone to install it.

Thanks guys :D, I appreciate your responses. My husband doesn't really want to fool with putting in an ac unit, but it is so hot here in the summers and I don't want to have to park my vw all summer.

| actually white vws are not all that bad. Drove one in yuma for some time. Still no substitute for AC |
