Does anyone sell these? I replaced my driver's side vent wing with a good used unit and I can literally pull the glass out of the frame because the seal is missing. Because of the missing seal my car pours water into the drivers door through the bottom of the vent frame when it rains.

I checked WW and CIP1 and they apparently don't sell this. If it is not available, is this something I can make myself if I can locate a thin strip of rubber?

WW sells it.

That being said, it is a PAIN to install since it is not pre formed. Do a search of the forums, I have seen people talk about using another seal (convertible window seal maybe??) that worked well and wasn't as hard to install, but I don't remember which one it was.

Edit:
Ok I found the post. It's a bus pop-out window seal. See this thread

Thanks fluxcap!

I will order the bus type seals asap. It looks like they are a good replacement option to the factory seal which must be pressed in.

What you need is a standard packing tape. It is a little hard to find as it is not widely used anymore as few cars have vent window or install like that. The packing comes in various thicknesses . You need to have a few sizes to fit the glass to the frame . Once you have the correct thickness ,I always preform it by bending it in half and put a crease in it.
The trick to installing it is to cut it thin on the outside where the rain diverter is. Once installed you can not trim the excess . I always tape the packing on with BLACK tape when installing it,so that when you cut it you will not see the edge of the tape where it gets trimmed after installing.
With the correct tape you should be able to push it into the frame and just use a rubber mallet on the lower corner of the frame as you are putting it in.
Hope this helps, I am a Old School glass guy so I know of what I speak. I have the correct tape, but I always try and use the original whenever possible ,works best every time.
