| I went down to renew my registration today. And I told the lady at the counter about my engine conversion.( they asked why it had been so late in registering) So she said well we will need to make up a new title classifying fuel type as diesel and not a gasoline vehicle anymore. I know it probably still comes up gas on the vin number but as far as the title reads as of now it says fuel type diesel. :D |

This is kinda off topic, but I just noticed my '04 TDI Jetta is listed on the registration as a Gas vehicle type instead of Diesel.
Do you think that since your Van is now classified as a Diesel there is any impact on your fees other than the type of emissions testing that is done? Oh wait, you do not have emissions testing in Moses Lake. But I do here in King County.... |

And why did you volunteer this ? "Name, Rank, and Serial no."
Why go looking for trouble? I just registered my 76 W/ water cooled engine as "Hobbyist". One time fee. Done forever.
Boy the Rust Belt IS good for something...... 8)
Too bad you live in a more totalitarian bueracracy! |

| Well it was more of a wait and see what happens type of thing. We dont have testing or regulations here so I wanted to see what they would say about it. Yes probably not a good idea to do. And if I had lived in another area I would have just kept my mouth shut but they are very laid back here. |
