HEy guys,
Just bought an OEM steering box off of samba, ready to put it in. I have never done it before, so I wanted to ask you guys what will I need as far as tools? Anything I should look out for? Is there a step by step procedure?
REgards,

Is it the the same kind of box as you had before, a worm-and-sector box? Or is it a newer worm/roller type? If it's a newer type then you'll find your old pitman arm won't fit on there. If it's identical to your old box, then you can just unbolt the pitman arm off the old box without removing the tie rods and pull the box up off of it and drop the new one onto it.
You don't have to, but removing the gas tank can help with access.
The position of the old steering box is probably etched into the beam, considering how long its been on there. Still, you might want to mark its postion by cleaning up around it and marking the beam with a paint pen.

It is the same ole box from a pre 61 bug. Thanks for the tips. So no wheel puller is needed or anything? No special tool to get the pitman arm off?

Well, you might try some PB Blaster and some heat if the Pitman arm is stubborn, but it's not pressed on, just clamped. You might need to do that on the steering coupler too, if it's crusty and rusty.
Oh, and I just remembered this, here's a scan of a section out of a manual I did a while back regarding the adjustment of that early type steering box:
