here is some info on it with a link to the build thread which I haven't updated in a long time mainly because i dont want do show off too much of the car just yet. I will say it is one of the best handling vehicles i've ever driven!

I drive a 1972 super, it is a daily driver and rarely gives me any problems.

they carried over abit longer than that, my blue super is 12/72 and ive looked at one forsale a few years ago that was 2/73

Are you guys saying they made the 03 in parallell with the 02? My 03 is 08/72 and serial no 2002 into that year. I always thought the 1302 was gone when the 1303 came in august.

I've got a 74 super and used to have a 71 super in high school 18 yrs ago. wish I never got rid of it.

August 20, 1970 - Yeah it's an early one...
I like this height.
145 50's on the front and 185 65's on the back.
I drag the sway bar holders on the speed bumps and have to go over a speed bump with both tires at the same time or I'll get hung up...

I'm one of the 8 who has a 75 Super. Mine is a Le Grand, and it's fuel injected.

On a side note, I took it for a serious run today out on the highway. I got it up to 74mph, and I guess it blew the carbon out of it, because it runs a whole lot better now. It still needs warm-up time, but it's running great!!!

Mine is a '71. I prefer 1302s to the 1303s, but like and appreciate all ACVWs, regardless of year model. It needs a bit of rust repair, but now that I have a welder of my own, this shouldn't be too difficult. I've added a thicker front sway bar, a rear sway bar, replaced all suspension bushings, tie rods, ball joints, wheel bearings, added four wheel disc brakes, new strut inserts and springs, steering box, steering shaft, and installed a new engine. The previous owner replaced the transmission and provided the requisite receipts. It drives essentially like new, and it's handling capabilities are surprisingly competent for a 40 year old car.

When I gave her a rattle can paint job, my neighbor yelled out his door "you can't polish a turd!" thinking he was funny. To which I replied "you're right! all I'm trying to do is make the turd stink less."

I love my Super Beetle! Even though she leave's me stranded on the highway too often because of Vapor Lock.
