| looks like there are more 73's than anything....thats why it makes a good germanlook racer not messin with a flatwindow take the most common one and hotrod it |

This is my 73 Super:
It's going back to stock once I get $$$.
Until then it's a daily driver.
Once I get brakes.
And new suspension.
And a horn.
And patch the floors.
Nothing a little bondo won't fix, right?
Seriously, it was a sweet deal as it cost me only $700. 8) |

My first car was a 74 SB. I spent two years building it and totaled it less than 6 months after I got it finished.
Now, 16+ years later, I've got a 73 SB that'll get all the cool trinkets I couldn't afford at 16. |

I got my '71 Super one year ago this January. Boy has it been a fun and interesting year...
She's a great year round car but even better in the winter. I just installed the heater booster motors so she is nice and toasty! |

Yes, it is the 73 Super Beetle in my signature. I am having a great time with it so far. I think I got a good one here. It needs work, but it will be up and running well in no time at all.
I will be posting progress when I can. |

I have a '78 Convertible now, but 30 years ago in High School I used my brother's '72 Super.
My brother's '72 was purchased new by my sister,
she drove the hell out of it until Summer of '75 when she bought a Dasher Wagon to move to Alaska.
By the time I was using it in 78 it was pretty worn down, but still a blast to drive.
I would like to do a '72 German Look project next. |

lol thats my point. I can't use those cal lookers, with that big damn hole, or it will look wierd. i either have to weld it up, or get different fenders. he got it easy  so as i re-iterate........lucky bastard :fist: , lol
its easy u just need some euro bumper rubbers
they have the normal style slit but fit those triangular holes
i hate Tbars on supers but i ran them on mine for a few weeks while i resprayed my bumpers cos its better than nothing
