Hello everyone. I have two issues that have me stumped. The rear hazard lights are not working. I want to say that they were working when I first got my beetle but now they are not working. There were quite a few problems with the electrical system when I bought the car (including the fact that the blinkers didn't work). I was able to fix some electrical issues resolved and got the blinkers to work (left and right/front and back) but now the hazards only work on the front. I checked the voltage and I only get voltage to the back when I have the blinkers on and not when I turn the hazards on. I have new fuses, I know the bulbs works, I've replaced the relay switch, and the E-flasher switch (the relay switch was bad and the E-flasher switch was falling apart).
The other problem I'm having is that I don't seem to get any voltage to the reverse wires when I have the car in reverse (there are actually no reverse lights on the beetle...it looks like they cut all the wires right before the cable connectors, on both sides, and connected only some of the cables and a connection to hook up the lights for a trailer).
I'm am tracing cables to see what I can find but those are the last two things I need before I can get an inspection sticker to drive the car. some many things have been spliced and diced on the electrical system, and some many wire colors have been changed, but I've been able to fix everything so far except for these two things.

Sounds like you are just going to have to trace the power – follow the power
