I've picked up a decklid rack recently to carry my BMX to the shows, it's identical to the one in the image

Does anyone have any info on this style of rack?

Don't know who made them. Got mine with my car when I bought it. Car came from Sweden so maybe that will help. The one you posted is the first one I have ever seen other than mine.

Do you find it supports the bike well enough?

How do you stop the bike tipping forward under braking?

I don't think you would be able to mount it to a vert though as it needs the vents on a sedan to mount onto

Supports the bike no problem. As for the bike tipping forward, the design keeps that from happening. I have not noticed that problem.
Mike PM me so I can tell you what I turned down for mine at Bugjam last year. The guy still calls me every six months or so to see if I changed my mind. :wink:

Although, I dont know if it'd be useful now, since you've modded it for a vert lid. :lol:

I've finally got a chance to take some pics of my rack

I've now sold my Bugs and only have a Ghia so this isn't needed anymore so it's forsale

Let me know if anyone is interested
