Nice job! I am getting close to painting my '57 the factory color, polar silver. What brand of paint did you go with?

Thanks

hi,

I used all PPG ...

and you?

Scott13 Wed Jan 14, 2009 7:20 pm

I am also using all PPG products, but the paint supply store cannot get polar silver in PPG because it is a European paint. :? He said Spies Hecker is available and it can be blended to match a sample. The reason I asked is because the color on your car looks very close to original.

Spies Hecker is more dark than PPG...

Take care about "Polar Silver" there is like 3 or 4 types of "Polar Silver" in PPG.. for years like 56, 91,93 .. and some for Porsche. I can try to get the paint mix formula for you. or I can buy here in Brazil and send the paint for you.. let me know.

And btw..
Picture from user "Peter - Belgium"

Ligher is PPG:

I'm a bit of a nit picker.... but the heater vents don't seem "right", and using aftermarket fenders, front apron, and doors sorta takes away from the finished project... other than that everything looks alright.....

You have a PM.

After shopping around locally, I found the PPG "Global" line of paint in polar silver. :D Thanks for the offer Ighor.
