On a side note, when I picked up the Bus it was a bright sunny day and there was literally 5 feet of snow on top of the solar panel, and it was still charging. The Bus had been sitting for two years completely untouched and the battery was charged right up to 12.5v.
It really charged right through the snow? One of the things I was worried about is that snow, rain, and leaves would block the solar panels and I would have to brush it off every day or so. Not that I'm lazy or anything...
But these systems look really good, and if they don't require too much wiring as you guys say, I think I may be tempted to set one up myself. |
