Ignorance and lack of respect for a classic automobile come to mind. Other words come to mind as well, but they're not fit to post here. :) |

| Man, its a shame the kid wasn't going faster. It didn't look like he wad buckled up so that video could have been a lot more interesting...kid flies through the windshield, gets trapped under the car under water... now seeing the dad have to save his sons life would have been awesome! |

that is tame compared to what folks do reguarly to their cars... Having watched the "trends" for years now, I can say that what they do in the video is probably better for that car than what many of us do to ours that we like... |

it's all based on preference... body mods, interiors, etc over the years have been much more damaging than the light front end damage in that video... you want an example, check out the abortion thread... |

well in about 10 years that bug will be that little kids frist car and he will wish he never did that...

ok honestly if had the the opportunity to drive a bug into a pool when i was 14 i would have. what 13-15 year old boy would pass up the chance to drive a car and crash it into stuff while your parents taped it. besides it looked like a fun way to get rid of a crap pool. also, why is everyone so obsessed that they could have sold the stuff and made money? old pool $50, rusted out super beetle $100. remembering that time you and your younger brother fucked some shit up in a super beetle priceless. they can still sell the car, if the pans are rotted and the engine is seized, a bent hood and fenders wont exactly be a deal breaker. just my .02
-Cheers :D |

| Looks like fun to me. Bugs in better shape than that get sent to the crusher every day and old, used, broken above ground pools are list for free on CL all the time. Nothingh lost, nothing gained. |

They just wanted to see if it would really float. The car was probably gonna get sold for scrap metal anyway??? Why not |

Uh... Me? I'm 14 and I own a '71 bus. I wouldn't do that to a barely rolling '79 with no engine. No VW deserves that treatment. |
