Today I was sitting in an empty parking lot in my bus reading a book, and two little boys on scooters (about 6 or 7) were noisily trying to sneak up behind me.
They had the following conversation in a loud whisper:
Boy 1:"What is that thing?!"
Boy 2:"It's a car, stupid."
Boy 1:"Oh."
Boy 1:" ...It looks like it's from the cat in the hat"
Boy 2:"I'll give you a quarter if you go touch it."
Boy 1:"Ok!"
Then he ran over and touched it right behind the passenger door, and ran back.
"You owe me a quarter!"
...then they rode off on their scooters.
It made me laugh, so I thought I'd share.
Have a great day! |
