Yesterday I started to cut away the drivers side rear corner. The rear of my Bus is needs the most work. So I decided to dive in rear first.

This is the veiw from under. This fix is not as bad as it looks. I will show full detail of repair when I start to fit metal from a 65 rear I purchaced from Gainsville, Fl. |

You can see the hole around the vent where PO had added scoops. Looks like twice as there are two sets of holes. Also there was a oil cooler mounted to the side of the Bus. |

Did not realize it, that VW factoryspotwelders just put welds where ever they please. It looks like swiss cheese where I drilled the spot welds. |
