| The real question is "have The Grundmanns authenticated VW's 1938 prototype as being the real deal?" |

I don’t think VW will be able to provide a “birth certificate” for this car, if this is the kind of authentication you had in mind. However it could be done, I guess. If you read this whole thread carefully, you’ll notice how VW have been involved in this project, like providing the vw38/31 vert for dissection and lending parts of the vw38/03, among other things. Now, would they do something like that if they didn’t think this was the real deal? In my opinion the answer to your question is YES. |

I skimmed through it i'll go back and read more of it. |

you won't be sorry. its like a good book!! I was reading more of it earlier and found video of the car when they found it on youtube. It's really too bad there isn't more left of the car than just part of the body. Props to those guys though for saving it. |

Pay attention in class!
It is aluminum. From one of the 1939 Berlin-to-Rome cars. |

Just "funny" that other people posted pictures of your pristine, world moving project - earlier than you did.
I would always give the owner the right to spread the news?!
Anyhow just awesome!

it was an real interesting moment to be real next to the engine as it came direct from the rebulid... also holding the steering column in the hand of the 38 was a great thing....

Great job on the car and on the pan and on the parts (this sentence will also count for my next posts here  ) |
