I was wondering if the Type 3 boys are playing with the Type 3 Selecta in order for them to visualize the ultimate Type 3 to drive on or restore with. Let us see your Type 3 selecta!

Here's my plan for Sharky 2 a.k.a. '66 Fasty:

Although I was still thinking of a stock look something like this:

ctrl + print screen then paste it on your photo editor then crop it.

Enjoy!

I must be an idiot. Ctrl + Prt Scr does nothing!

I am not a Huge Type 3 guy, but this is what I would roll if I had the ability.

Well is how it will look soon, after I put the sprints on it.

I did not think the type 3 selecta could do the late stock wheels, is that some kind photoshop too?

it can, and you can pic the inner/outer color of the stock wheels.

I've never liked the low suspension. I've never liked the way it looks, and it seems to be a real loss of functionality.

I guess I may have a bias, because here in AK, you wouldn't survive a minute on the roads like that...

I still can't see how to do this. There is only the early stock wheel without slots and I can't see any options for changing the wheel trims.

Are you using the selecta from T3D or is it somewhere else too?

vwfye Mon Feb 02, 2009 11:45 pm

yes, it is there if you select a late car

Yes, but who would select a late car?

Ahhh, but I have a 68!! what to do?

I am very big fan of low...this is probably a tad lower then it will actually be...but it is actually at 2 splines now, but I will toy with the tire size and some outer splines to change it up and get it a tad lower.

And YES I drive a late model...:( an it was the normal selecta that i found the stockies on.

I had to do a small modification, because Cosmics are not an option....

RafCarre12 Tue Feb 03, 2009 9:44 am

I did the same thing a while back

The goal:

And what it eventually turned into:

gixxer 711 Tue Feb 03, 2009 2:47 pm

i did a late car with the same color wheels and then copied them and pasted them onto the early body to get this.

I was thinking that one of these two looks would be cool for my 1968 Fastback.

Yeah, when I first made those I didn't realize that the '68 was being put into the early fastback category. So if I use the proper body style then I am not able to use the proper set of wheels. So I used Photoshop and came up with this instead ...
