This is going to seem like the most basic of VW modifications, but when I had my bumpers straightened and re-chromed, the shop that did it somehow rounded-out the front bumper to the point where the bumper gaurds would no longer fit over the bumper.
Therefore, my car has been without them for years. So on saturday I sat down with a dremel kit and grinded out the inside of the bumper brackets so that the were big enough to fit on. My front-end finally looks complete :)

good work! Much easier than fighting with the Chrome Shop for damages or whatever. |

| Totally. I used some "we pick it up and drop it off for you (so you don't see our factory that isn't EPA-compliant)" shop anyways, so I doubt I would have any recourse for repairs. |

| Thanks for sharing that sweet pic. I like your front end bumper setup. What color is your car sporting? Can a side/profile pic be posted? |

Heh, ask and ye shall receive (from Mike). The PO actually painted the car this color and it's just about the only good thing he did to it. I don't know the name of the color and I'm color-blind, so I'm probably not the best authority on what color it is.
The 14" rims make it look a little hgher than it really is. If I drop it any more, I won't be able to make it up the ramp into my parking garage. It scrapes enough already :) |

Bought this drawing by Craig Threeohtwo Anderson (facebook) or Presidential (here). He offered to water color it diamond blue too but I chickened out! Do you think I should send it back to him for the water colors? :-k He does 'snapshot' exact drawings off one of your pictures to your specs! :D

I painted my engine compartment today:
Beacuse of the tight confines I thought I'd give one of these a try:
It worked very well and I'm pleased with the results. |
