Digging thru some old school pics!!
I miss this one!! Probably one of my favorite rides.
AKA "pretty"

"pretty" is now undergoing a body off restoration in Sarasota.
This beautiful ex Wide5 car now belongs to Bill (Sarasota). Once owned by Pat and at last by myself as seen in these pics.

I am one of the newbies to the club but I have in the last 4 or 5 years put more miles on my VW with WIDE 5 members than I have put on with anyone else and have no plans of changing that anytime soon!! (CTS anyone? you know im in!!)... I am super stoked to be a part of a group of friends who are all about helping eachother, working their asses off to improve the scene (via shows, GTGs, cruises or whatever it takes) and most importantly DRIVING THE SHIT OUT OF OUR RIDES!!!!!!!!

Heres my line up... '59 Mango Green Standard, had this bus since march 1996 and it has gone through many life phases... its current status being my favorite!! This is my driver, I'm not afraid to hop in this bus and go ANYWHERE (right Bill!!) sure its has its hick ups but they all do!!! Its has a Wagens West front end from spindle to spindle which includes 4" beam fliped spindles with late model Bay window Disks... in the rear is 3.88 IRS hooked up to a Gene Berg 1700 (machine in 88's) and rolling on a set of Gerson restored OG sprint stars..... The beetle is a '55 3 fold rag (factory) and I wouldnt have this car unless a couple of Wide 5 members hadnt been looking out for me!! I got it in December of '07 and havent done a whole lot to it, it has a 4" airkewld beam with Bad billet wide 5 disks, 4 piston willwood calipers, full syncro trans and hooked up to a 1600, and rolling on a set of ET's super solid car OG interior and a lot of fun to drive (which I've only done a few times!!)

Jason and I with our buses in the background

heading out to BB looking out my back window at Pats '60 SC and Jasons '67 Westy... do I see a red cooler back there somewhere?

cool interior shot of my bus, a few years old but still pretty much the same... I'm down for CTS, who else is up for the ride? Last year was a blast! I hope I have some good luck like last year. Who's going to Mike's party. It's shaping up to be a good time! :D
Me and Serena are down for CTS. That is if she's ALLOWED to go.

My first build and 3rd VW!!! THANKS to all wide5 members and specially BILL (paint, patience and guidance) for making this car was possible.

At the time I build it, the car rolled on a full set of empi gauges, radio, dash pad, day\night mirror, fender mount, GTV steering wheel, og empi pull, empi bars, empi engine dressup kit, OG empi pedal covers, empi eliminator shifter, og rack, og visors, of euro headlights, chrome taillights, NOS yokon reverselight, 356 rear brakes, had 2 motors a 1300cc most of the time and for a short while a 11to1, 48mm dells, 2180 motor. This car also rolled on a set of OG 2 pcs empi five spokes.

Car was first built in 1997, it was then traded to Dan Jarvey GA (for Porsche 356) Dan then sold it to its last owner who did a body off maintaining the color\interior combo but building a super 48ida 2 liter. Unfortunately the car was totaled at its first show after the body off.

(Please forward or post pictures, unfortunately these are the only 2 pictures I have of my old car.)

Pat I'm glad I could be the teacher of that lesson, you now have to teach us the lesson of being able to see the future and dip seconds before the cops show up!! MAD SKILLS!!!!!! And Alvaro has some lessons he needs to teach us too but we will talk about that at the BBQ because most those lessons are NSFW!!!!! Do I see a "welcome back" party in the future "Wide 5" style? you know nothing special just a "A" cup night!!
