If you are local, and would like to participate, please PM me. I've registered for our bus + 5. With enough interest/notice, I can get space for up to 12. The parade has grown each year, and is now large (2+ hr.s?) and is televised.
This parade is very fond of vintage cars and clubs. I've only seen one VW (a herbie bug) in it ever, and thought it was time our citizens were treated to some vintage buses!... and the city agreed. In fact they are thrilled. Pre '67's only please.
It's all over by 11 at the latest, and I'm considering a post-parade BBQ. Please contact me (soon!) if your up for this.

Thanks in advance, Dave

I might be able to make it. I just have to find out the plans for that day first

8) Let me know. I know it's tough being a holiday and all, but it starts/ends early, leaving plenty of time to go celebrate after.

Riff Raff Tue Mar 03, 2009 3:43 pm

I'd love to lead a contingent of NUTS down for your celebrations there dave, but realistically, the chances are pretty slim.

Dave24 Tue Mar 03, 2009 3:52 pm

Keith, we'd love to have you, but yeah, seems a bit of a drive for you for a 2 hour parade... unless of course you are truly NUTS  . However (if thats the case), then come on down!. . I have a long overdue care package for you, my northern bro... Will send it soon.

I will plan on coming up for this. I am sure I can get a few more buses to tag along. I will get the word out.

In past years the parade started at 10 AM in front of El Toro High School at Toledo and Ridge Route. Where is the staging area for the cars? Away from the horses, I'd gather. Kiwanis has done a pancake breakfast at the high school before also.

Thanks for all the interest and pm's. Will keep everyone posted as things progress... still have room for a few more... anyone? :D
