I received a call from a friend that has a vw repair shop he knows I'm in great need of another car to go to work & taxi the kids to & from school is a 72 reddish orange superbeetle sunroof that one of his friends had stop using after he got afraid because shakes at about 45 miles ok. i had other bugs all early not a problem if they shake you can still drive them with care then fix. so the price was good is a nice car needs battery ,tune up & oil change which my friend let me do at his shop is time to test drive & see about how bad is the front end shakes well here I go sure thing it shakes alright & badly like no other car I ever driven before! (yes I can see you all laughing already ) it feel like fenders & hood are about to fall down & the whole car will break in half well I let the car slow down to 30 miles an hour without stepping on the brakes
then stop on side of road put my heart back in place check my teeth to see if they broken or missing ! then drove back to the shop got out the bug check my pants to see they are in place & not soiled if you know what I mean. I lite a cigarette to calm the nerves legs shaking sweat on my face, my friend is busy with a client as soon he is finish about seven minutes later I'm with my second cigarette he walks toward me, how was the ride did shake a little ? he asked with a smile on his face. (my reply) THAT was like riding a full size German vibrator frack me I didn't know Volkswagen makes sex toys.! hell my legs still shaking! my friend hear my comment & began laughing until he got an stomachache. a week later after chasing the parts he ordered the hard to get factory rubber bushings repaired the front suspension, the bug became a good car which we named the shake & bake (orange color no air conditioner & used to shake like a CALIFORNIA 8 point earthquake on the Richter scale ) all my cars have names & yes this is a true story!
