So the door is on and paint is on. we're wet sanded and getting buffed as I reattach the engine hoses and wires. The color looks like a good match, but I can only see hints of the emerald pearl while inside the shop.
anyway...
On the road by Monday??? We're working on it! |

Well the glass is going in...
New windsheild (mine was scratched to the point of poor visibility!
All right side are in
and left side I found I did not get the vent window seal for rear vent, so that whole window is on hold. Frame needs some spiffing up if it is to last (the stud on lower end was almost campletely gone).

So...after getting engine back in, I found the filler neck that WAS good, was now torn (was probably started before hooking up lower end of fill tube to tank with engine out, but I took the "short cuss" and had to do it with the engine back in). My gas fume problem was worse than ever...but being confident that others had done it...I grabbed my trusty 90 degree ratcvheting mini phillips head, layed down in the bus and got the clamp loose...slid new neck into place...and I am now so fume free it is almost freaky. Even my heater now works (replaced a few vent pipes while I was at it) and is exhaust free. Sunday the drive around upstate NY was a true joy!
Here's how she looks in action. Here you can't see the disappointment I felt from all the fumes on my maiden voyage after the resto was done...but she is purdy!
