It was really cool that Eric wanted me to put some hours in on the mistress ... I am having fun and can't wait to see another oval kabrio saved !!! :) 8)

we are doin' a grip of dolly work as well as ruffn' it in with filler and 36 grit for now, we will be knocking down alot of what you see here! 8)

We are fixing all kinds of stuff that most people would have left or "mudded" over...Jason and James are really going the extra mile right now and doing it the right way...this car is a car I've dreamed of building...my new job has me jammed up tight most days so it's awesome to see progress.

Jason and I stopped by Tim's Auto body today and talked with Tim...even though his shop is jam packed with cars he said he'll paint the vert once Fresac James get's done working his magic on the car...(Tim is the same person who painted my black 53) so I know it's going to come out clean!

Today I picked up the phone called Chucks and ordered a set of his chrome top trims....sounds like after my set he only has ONE set left....even though it's a while from needing them I didn't want to NOT be able to get a set.....anyone else doing a vert sometime soon may wanna check this out

Great weekend at the VW Classic in Irvine...locked down some big parts for the car....will have pics as they start to arrive in a few weeks.

It's been a while since I've updated this thread...lots of people asking about it at Kelley Park this weekend.

Long story short I've been insanely busy...changed employeers, the TRP cars/part sale side of the business takes most of my free time on the weekends...but on the good side I have had time to buy some cool junk and start the restoration on some new trinkets...lots of parts are changing from the original plan...including a bunch of Jer*Fab suspension.

We are about to get back on this project real soon..here is a taste of some of the new stuff

(Judson guage about to be sent in for resto)

(Judson Super Charger back from polish/powder coat/and a fresh jet coated manifold)

and a 36hp Sebring Exhaust to make it sounds cool too...
