It took 22hrs of labour...but I have a new exhaust sytem without having to replace the heads! I can't believe I am excited about it when it's costing me so much money!
Beers on me! Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we all may die!

i am sorry if i missed your other thread on this, but why would you have had to replace the heads in order to replace the exhaust? :? |

The problem was the manifold studs and bolts were essentially melted in the heads. Here in Canada we have a lovely relationship with rust. The worry was he wouldn't be able to extract the broken studs from the heads.
Anyhow, he was able to drill,tap and repair, so I pick it up tomorrow!
Then it's on to tranny cooler and coolant hoses. hehe. |

ahh yes, memories...........
I was lucky in that I had no rust on the engine to deal with.
Congrats on getting a relatively pain-free exhaust install. |
