First I want to thank all of the fans who supported us on the reality show. We finished 4th out of 12 cars. Not too bad for a 40 year old Bus. It looks like the powers that be are inviting us on the Rally. This is the one which has no prize and No rules. It runs from NYC to Austin Tx. The bus is going to need some upgrades first. Since this is a top speed rally Ill need to do the following.
1. change the fuel induction to EFI to adjust for elavation
2. Upgrade the trans to a Berg 5 speed witha very tall 5th gear
3. add a 20 gallon fuel cell
Ill be posting updates & videos of the road to the rally.
Again thanks for all the support. Lets see how we do in a no holds barred rally.

You guys did great. At least you wont need a heater this time.
What kind of 20 gallon fuel tank are you going to use? custom?

20 gallon fuel cell, take out the center seat and put in a sleeping bag/cot.
Two drivers, and go straight through. Drive in 4 hour shifts.
Hell, with a chemical toilet, you wouldnt even have to stop for piss breaks.
But please at least put some wipers on it. |

Bill,
I have been following the show and following the threads here on the site. I must say that it was amazing that a "brick with a 4 cyl" made it to the top 4!!! My wife which hates anything car related was even interested in "the bus making it to the end". You guys really kicked ass!!!!
You guys really served the VW community proud =D> =D> =D>
Is the "Bullrun 2" going to be televised?????

Well I am excited to get on to the "Real Rally" just some mods to the bus & we should be a contender. The rally is made in to a TV show called cops, cars & superstars. Wish us luck on raising some sponsorship money. No one rides for free.... |

No need to be so aggessive this time. Its more of a city to city party with high speed traveling between. |

Well, even by skipping the chemical toilet and using Russ' advice, you'd *wow* everyone by being able to bolt from city to city so quickly. |
