I have 2 carbs and an extra manifold so i want to build a dual carb setup for my 1300. I plan to attach the pivot cam linkage to the fan shroud.

1. Would it be better to run the linkage over or under the alternator? I would like to keep it on top just because i like taller manifolds. Not sure if they will fit under decklid.
2. Would a SVDA be the best dizzy to try?
3. Any ideas on sealevel jetting?

thanks for all intellegent imput.

Well, if you can find a way to make it work, more power to you. I had an engine once with two 30PICT-2s on it, that ran horrible. The home made linkage someone came up with wasn't that great though.

SVDA, well an H30 isn't right for an SVDA with one carb, it won't be right with two of them either. It would run mostly like an 009, due to having the wrong vacuum signal (unless modified)

ok...maybe just stick with single carb...would have looked cool.

Give it a try! It will take some time and patients working out a linkage that will open both carbs together, got to get the pair synced up and that will be the biggest problem. Seems most 36hp kits used dual 28PCI carbs and they were made to work.

Now If you can figure out a way to use a CSP bell crank, think there is an German guy on the sech volt blog that is using one or one that is similar. Less moving parts so easier to keep synced that the cumbersome shroud mounted units.

Take a look around there are some taller manifolds for 40hp engines but not sure about 36hp... DannyZ has some short manifolds for sale.

Run an 010 or 019 mechanical advance distributor. If you are going to set up a set of duals why worry about the vacuum advance distributors you want speed not gas millage, right?

But DIY should be the spirit of a vintage speed car!
