Hello fellow Vintage Speed enthusiasts!
While preparing to race at Bonneville, I was just too busy to post here much, and afterwards I've been catching up on all that lost sleep! However, I haven't forgotten that you all would like to hear / see the story, so I have thoughtfully put the whole story online for you.
Here's the vehicle:
Rather than take up lots of space here, and possibly bore those not really interested, I've created a web site just for this topic. You can find it here:
http://ghiacoachworks.com/share/denzel_lsr.html
I recommend purusing the pages that have to do with the machinery and then viewing at least September 18 and 20 from the Blog section. You can read the whole Blog if you're interested in the process, the timing, and there are some photos in the Blog section that are found nowhere else on the site.
Of course, the parent site may be of some interest, too:

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, corrections or otherwise as you see fit. I have several email addresses but the key one is Richard at Karmann Ghia dot org. (NOTE it is _not_ dot com!)
Enjoy!
