At the risk of starting another wild goosechase for EZ Gruv have you seen this model?
I picked this one up at the end of the UK Volksworld show in March for 5 pounds. The trader was trying to get rid of them and now I wish I had bought a few.
It appears to be from the 60th anniversary celebrations in Hanover. It has two rows of bench seats inside and is a left hand drive. I put an AA battery in the pictures for scale.

I believe it is one of a set of 3. I have the single cab as pictured on the top of the box, and also a red version of the plain bus you have. I believe they were made in some European country, and I bought mine at a Farmington show in the mid 90's...

I went out to my local target today. No busses but i picked up a .97$ thing thats orange with a tan top.

I won my ebay auction, which was 3 green buses. 8) So those three, one from barefootwestie, and one from another samba member makes 5 green buses - which should satisfy me.

Now...to find a couple red ones!

I gave up looking! After all that hunting and no buses to show for it, I sent a picture in an email to family in FL, CA & NC asking them to look for:

Lets see what they come up with. I don't know if they only got sent to certain areas or people are just snapping them up like ammo during hunting season. As for me, I'm DONE!

I think they've been out for a while. I was given an orange one last August.

The orange bus was 2008 issue. The red and green are 2009.

They did'nt release them all at once. Some of the 09 cars have been out for awhile, the busses were recently released I think.

All we ever got in the Cleveland area was the orange Matchbox bays. By weird chance I picked up 2 more at 98 cents at K-Mart last week. I grab every one I can find. Seems like there is a bus shortage in general lately in the toys market. Nothing new coming out unless someone has seen something I missed.

$81 is insane! Is that a limited edition on where ya had to be at a Convention to get one? There is a half dozen Matchbox orange Things up at my local store if anyone wants one for 2 bucks, and the cost to ship them.

Trying to figure out how I can weld up the roof to make it a hard top. Got the paint ready and waiting. Need to deep tint the windows. Wish it would arrive soon.

I was thinking of using an eraser to make a westy top. One of those old square ones with the beveled edges. It's just the right size and you can carve it.
