That makes any sense?? You might as well didn't post @ all. Post the full picture of that beast!!

pbaptist Wed May 18, 2011 12:31 pm

Thank you for the news

You removed some of the details in the pict..... I can hardly see the car. :D

Can you tell me more about the bodynumber of this car? (can also in a Private message). I hope the meet the owner at Bad Camberg. (I knwo he subscribed)

Do you know of the plans for this car. As you might read, I currently have three Rometsch Lawrence convertibles. Currently me and other people are reproducing rometsch parts to be able to restore the cars. A lot of parts are already available. If the owner needs help in sourcing parts for the car, let me know. I even have spare NOS bodyparts :D

regards
Patrick

I'm so glad I didn't buy #547 when I had the chance back in the early '80s. I would have ruined it. :)

Beeskow side trim is in progress. Master sample is with the aluminium extrusion tool die maker now...

After pushing one billet through that die - we will have enough trim for about 260 Rometsch cars... The order from these guys is "one billet or nothing".

BTW - that silver/black is the best combo I have ever seen on a Lawrence - awesome!

overrestored Tue Oct 11, 2011 3:24 pm

I know of at least 3 other Beeskows without any trim... I bet those guys will be calling.

Watch the clearance at the leading edge of the rear quarters... in back of the doors... where the door tucks into the rear quarter... hard bevel on the trim here... looks better boxed in rather than simply cut off at an angle BTW... but is overrestoration I suppose. sigh.

I am guessing the registry already knows about this car?

It doesnt seem so quintus. But they will now im sure.
I hope someone gets it who knows what to do with it. 25 is steep, so hopefully they are willing to be realistic.

Yes, the car is known in the registry. It has bodynumber 543.
Currenly à couple of Lawrences are in restoration and some parts are reproduced. I now also have the windshield rubber available

I hope this car is bought by a person with the right intentions to restore IT and not by someone who wants to Flip IT for more money. Restoration of these cars is not easy and only for experts.

These cars are more rare than the beeskow and it will be a matter of time that the lawrence model is as valuable as a beeskow model.
