started to piece together the front end, now I have to locate someone that can press in my link pin bushings
Got some 1x4 arms with 3" raised combo spindles up in front now, I was hoping to get some 1x6's up front but it looks like I would have some tire clearance problems. Plus the 1x4's were wayyyyyy cheaper |

havent had a whole lot of $$$$$ to spend lately so not much has been done. Except for I am almost finished with my light bar. And I just placed a big order for parts to finish this beast up from Lowbugget.com for all the little odds and ends needed.

The transmission is goin out to get rebuilt also. I am going to start assembling the motor this weekend while the frame is over @ the fab shop. |

Quick update, Floor is all done, roof is done, pedals are mounted, Goin to pick it up tomorrow hopefully.
Got a message from the Ricky @ Wright GearBox, said everything checked out ok with trans but....................the diff bearings were frozen up solid, no big deal they were getting changed anyways. Goin with a super diff, chromoly pinion nut, weddle close 3rd and 4th gearset. I talked A.J Sims into helping me finish my motor, Hell of a guy.
Front shocks finally showed up from F.O.A., so time to hunt for springs!
I will try to post up some pics soon.

Would anyone on this thread know what actual frame that is. I'm in the same position and want to upgrade my 2 seat to a 4 seat.
What a deal, what a nice looking car. |

I still dont know who made this frame either. The story I was told was that it was made by a company that specialized in rock crawler 4x4 stuff. I have never found out who it was, but it is someone in the inland empire area. The guy who is currently doing all major fab stuff has a BAD AZZ e 2 seat beam chassis-mild steel, 10" over 4130 beam, 115" wheelbase. has aluminum roof, side panels, dash, hood and firewall, and light bar.$2700.00-also have rear arms, rack, front arms, gas tank and some other stuff for it as well... I know your looking for a 4 seater, he might have one of those also, but not anything like the 2 seater
its like paying $$ for an aluminum body and getting the chassis for free! |
