Who says a turbo can be sano?
2332 EFI Turbo.
Corrction, Glenn, that's a 1904cc EFI turbo home brewed with CB Performance hide away kit and Mexican Beetle intake with BMW TBI. Lots of time and thought into that little screamer. Built by Turbo Don and the Bug pictured is Matt's. I bought that engine as you see it, then traded for the current 2387cc also built by Turbo Don. |

if it was "optional", VW would have made it so the deck lid could still close, and from what i can see the alternator doesnt allow it to.
it looks like a V4 out of a ford taunus |

May I suggest you replace that little K&N style breather with a t'd fitting and a 1/2" breather hose to each Dell top. |

Connella08, you are close. Actually the radiator inlet tube doesn't allow it to close, no prob with the alternator. And, yes, its a V4 out of a late 60s Ford Taunus, some joint project they had with Saab, I believe. Supposed to be a good motor from all I've heard.
I purchased it this way from the PO who bought it from the builder who spent a lot of time on it, as you can tell.
A better shot of it with the lid closed. |

very nice looking bug. never saw the coolant fill pipe at the top. its supposedly a good motor, but is it as buildable as an ACVW case? |
