I am considering a rear seat delete for my 71 super, and was just curious about how others have gone about it with leaving battery, wiring, and heat vents intact? Could those of you who have done so post me some pics? any info/suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance

I used 1/4" plywood, using the bottom of the stock seat frame as a guide, and made a cover. I covered the plywood with marine vinyl and made it two pieces to make it easier to get to the battery and such. A couple of spacers were made out of the scrap plywood and attached to the bottom of the covers to get them to sit flat and even.

You can't see it but I did the same thing with the stock vinyl covers under the bar (that hold the heater vents). Since I don't run a heater, I made new covers and uses them to mount 6 1/2" speakers.

That BS speaker box sitting in the back isn't my long term solution, it was something I made quickly to get it done. A full fitted enclosure will be made at some point in the future.

thanks, exactly what im looking for. Without running heat(only a summer driver) did you just leave the heater parts in or block them off?

Just remove the hoses running from the engine to the body.
