Ill be bringing my radar gun to use at the dry lake if anyone wants to check their top speed. thinking my car will top out at about 85 mph. checking out cb's been thinking about getting one for a while now. we will see...

I definitely want to see my top speed. I've had it indicated at 90 so far. also now have proper working tail lights. CB is in and new antenna installed, only thing left is to get my air cleaners set up nice and pack all the essentials.

When I was up there earlier this year, the surface of the lake bed had a lot of imperfections I've heard called "snakes" - periodic ripples the size of speed bumps. The land speed record guys did manage to find a good stretch though.

Brian M Sun Oct 04, 2009 10:10 am

Yah, I'd hate to hit one of those at speed.

Think of them as very small dunes.
