| The ones at the back (with the screens) appear to be typical of US aftermarket camper kits. The ones up front are just odd. Looks like they should be on a submarine or something... |

| I don't get why, in the seventies or eighties when it seemed most of these type of 'upgrades' happened, you could buy a bus for very little money. The amount of time you would need to spend finding these weird windows, cutting holes into your panel van, fitting the windows and everything else, why not just buy a bus with windows already fitted? |

thats actually not necassarily true, many of these "hacks" as some call them are done very early in a buses life, dont assume it happened in the 70s or 80s,personally i like the era modifications,i think its more taboo to fill these holes than to embrace their uniqueness
in the 70s it was all about heart shaped bubble windows and cut wheel wells with big offset wheels/tires,the 80s were all about the beetle, buses were unloved, and the ones that were loved were ussually 23 windows with "old school" lowering techniques (pulling torsion leaves),dark times indeed |

| pulling torsion leaves, I'm not sure what this means, is that taking some of the strips out of the front beam to make it flop down? Crikey if it is. Dark times fo sho |

Thems be the dreaded hippie windows. My bus fell victim to this hideous crime.
My bus also fell to the hippie home improvement. Silicone and home window sealant
These crimes could have been avoided if the just took the little extra time to do things right...... shame really...... shame  |
