| Its started in 1997 with a primer gray 69 type 1 half way through a baja conversion. it wasn't mine it was John's it look rough. But with Amos and john and my very un-VW inclined self it took shape i just helped with body work and tune ups but i'll be damned if i had a blast learning how to drive a manual with that bug. now in 2007 i started looking for my own al most 10 years later i remembered the fun. it was too expensvie to build my pontiac (1975 grand am (400cid/th400/hardtop)) and it drank gas like bikers and beer. plus being in the navy (thanks john and Amos) i didn't have a place for the big girl but on the farm in TN. so she was rusting and i was hurting i started looking for a bug and looking for a kid with a itch for Pontiac. fast foward 2 years one sold pontaic no vw and then on a wild hair i talked a co-worker into road tripping 150 miles to look at a bug. she was rough but ran good leaked but nothing bad solid but had her spots and she had a dual port 1600 block sporting 40 kardons. the owner was cool and took her through the paces. :twisted: i liked i bought i rode. 150 miles heat on full no windsheild wipers in 95deg sunny heat just title, insurance voucher and blue jeans damn it was hot. i broke the parking brake in richmond, fired a hub cap at a benz, fried a set of brake shoes broke the seat belt, oven fried my butt for 3 hours and rode that 65 little she bear like there was no tomorrow. i was hot soaked (it rained and i was not going to oven roast dry), tired, worn, down and smelly when i arrived in norfolk, :D i was happy i found out a lot about the car and my tolerances for heat. i know you are tired of reading but catch this, Ursel (my 65 type 1 w/ sun roof,pop outs and 1835cc) is going to be a blast. i can't wait to see you guys out on the road. |

| i'm trying with the pics but my camera is 10mp and i'm limited plus i'm try to do as much fixing as possible on my 4 days off work. i can't wait for my TN tags to show up plus i still need a bumper for the rear. i can't wait to get out on the road legal like with her. by the way how do you do the little car listing at th end of your posts? or do you just type it each time? |

How do I add a signature to my post?
To add a signature to a post you must first create one in the Control Panel. Once created you can check the Add Signature box on the posting form to add your signature. You can also add a signature by default to all your posts by checking the appropriate box in the Control Panel. You can still prevent a signature being added to individual posts by un-checking the add signature box on the posting form. Signatures are a privilege which will be removed if abused. |
