on here or ebay
there is only one inconveniece to this wheel........ its a 51, it is splined and not keyed like the later ones. so ill have to find an early BD steering box or get a later one machined to fit

Thanks for your thread. Just going through all the rust threads and gauging my next move. My 57 kombi just showed up today.... and whew.... its bad...real bad.
BUT, going through the threads helps a lot. Makes you realize, anything is savable.
I say it all the time. But now that its actually MINE and in my face, wow...... changes your view on things.
Threads like this give me hope, seeing others who care saving buses that would be cut by most. :) |

nice little speach you've got there
btw, were did you get your rear tires on your panel? do they make noise or are they silent @ 60? do they make as much noise as the RGB's? |

The rear tires are interco M+S 700-15"
They make no noise, BUT neither do my reductions. I have 2 inches of carpet on the cargo floor, my typical utility items in the rear, and a 3/4 inch folding plywood bed in there. Plus the factory divider, you really can barely hear anything from the back of the bus.
You just cruise along quietly and swiftly..lol. Can talk on your phone and chill.
Its comforting to drive. :) |
