| took the wrong trail and went through a huge mudhole and by the time the wipers cleared anything i realized we were not going to make the hill/cliff and came back down backwards into the bushes on the side of the trail. bent my lf shock bad enough that it was siezed when we went to leave so i took the both off. drove back down the mountain an hour back to the truck and trailer. talked to an old work buddy for a while with th gf and he left so we were going to load up and head home. HAS ANYONE EVER BACKED UP A BUG WITH NO FRONT SHOCKS ON IT AND HIT THE BRAKES?  i did and my gf lost it. she looked like my car was a transformer as it spit the front wheels out sideways. the lf laying face down with all the linkpins and tierod still attached. i lifted it and rolled everything back into place and it looked perfect. so my whole story is that everything that could go wrong did but its all hilarious now. |

When I first got my bug I drove it with no shocks at all, that was a very scary learning experience.
I was bouncing around next to a big rig and thought that was the end.......
Never drive a bug with no shocks!!!
 |
