There are alot of things, they weld certain parts, snap rings, 091 1st and second. But you need to find a qualified transmission guy to do this for you or you will still break things. If you need a number PM me and I will get you in touch with Scott from MetalCraft out of Clovis, Ca. He is the master at transmissions, or find someone you trust is putting what they say in, thats the key. Good luck.

I've been keeping an eye out for people parting late 70's busses. I've seen a few people get lucky getting a rolling bus with a nice bus trans in it for $100-200.

I'm curious about your motor, wht did you start with (type IV block) and what kit did you bore/stroke with?

super diff will help greatly in the drive train. Thats the first step imo.

best thing is drive it easy. Not hard nor soft.Easy on popping the clutch, watch the downshifts, etc

well i know its not the downshifts when i have broken it is at the dragstrip but even when racing not being real hard on the shifts.
