Motorbreath53 installed one so the steering wheel would clear his gut.

I have one in my rail and in my glass buggy, but only the metal mechanism . In looking in junk yards I've only seen a few that would look decent in a bug body. as far as using the entire unit. I just didn't feel like wiring everything up...

So far the best one i've seen was in a mid 80's toyota maybe a supra ?? it had a inline 6. any the plastic was Black, unit was small, a bolt up mounting, it used seal bearings in the column, not only tilt , but also telescopic. Again it's the wiring, everything is on the column

I think the ones I did use came from a pulsar ( SP ?? ) using two ujoint it has enough flex for the movment, at the mount it might move 1 1/2" at the wheel maybe 4"

Funny part after all the work I never use it. it was just one of those do it cause I can deals

.... and that marks the first time i've been called fat.

thanks Lotrat.

What he ment to say was... "Motorbreath's car has one, and it is just ONE of the many things that makes his car cooler than mine." :D

The tilt column is awesome. Unecessary...and kinda expensive for what it does... but still awesome.

from behind the sheetmetal... (old fuse block holder in the way)

front... and old dash..

That statement implies that my baja has some level of cool... I'm good with that. Mine is cool, buy yours is cooler? Remember, I don't care how fat you get, I love you for what is inside... Like your welding skills and your eh, er, uh... like your welding skills.

hey. it isn't about mi panza, which is in fact quite large.

no room to get my right thigh under the steering wheel. lowered the seats about 2 inches; still no room

You could weld on a removable steering wheel adapter. the hex one's are like 20 bucks.
