| I have a 1964 baja with motor troubles. I also have a 1979 complete bus motor. Is it possible? I dont want to do an up-right conversion to keep it simple. Any advice, pics? |

| If the body is cut far enough it can work. You'll need an early 210mm type 4 flywheel/clutch. And then there's the fuel system too... |

| The fuel system is no big deal. I have all of the parts. I striplped that bus. Can get by for now with my stock trans? I have the 79 trans also, but I want to keep the major modifications for a later time. Can I use the bus trans with swing axle or do I need to convert to irs? Thanks for the info. 8) |

here is my baja with a 2.0 type 4 and stock style cooling.
it's longer, hangs lower, heavier, and way more powerful than a 1600 dp.
the extra torque is great!
also dont foget to machine flywheel for piliot bearing. the input shaft will not reach on t1 & t2 transaxels. there is a thread that talks about correct placement, Ill post it here when I find it. |
