I've been looking into starting an NAU VW club to fill the void that I can no longer attend all of the D3 events. Anyone interested meeting up once/twice a week to just chill and chit chat, possibly discuss technicals and cosmetics?

Any suggestions for meeting locations?

I am from Washington state but am going to school at NAU. I drove down my water pumper but would like talking old vw. I do not know if there is anything local around here...

Sweet :] I'm looking to find who owns the orange westfalia, the red kombi (I think it's a kombi) and a red bay window over by the hostel (maybe I'll make some flyers or something) . Know anyone else with old VWs? Anyways, for a local spot maybe just meet up at a Sonic? hhaha that's always really cool to see with all the VWs in the parking spots. Downtown would be hard, especially since there's not much parking as is. Maybe Cheba Hut (not because it's typical hippie but it does have the Cheba Bus in front :])

I have seen a very nice og paint velvet green 11 window near the smaller domed building on campus. There is an og paint 412 near reiley hall parking lot. It was for sale downtown a couple of weeks ago...maybe the new owner?

Flyers would be a good idea-there are plenty of boards to post on around campus. Cheba would be fun to show up with a host of vw's.

I saw that 412! I was actually considering talking with the owner, but when I saw it, it was on San Francisco. It could definitely be a new owner :] but I haven't seen the 11 window. I'll look around today, my roommate and I are thinking about making flyers to put up :]

Wow, I went to that Route 66 car show the other day. I saw 2 VWs and that was it. I guess it would be weird to put in a VW to a Route 66 show (kind've american brand-centered) but still. I was kind've sad, but it was fun to see some corvairs and some rat rods :P definitely liked the Shelbys

Unfortunately i was only there on Friday. The time i had was great though.

Um what do they drive. Well type 2 first and fore most then type 1's then type 3's oh ya Ghia's, dune buggys and everything elase that has VW on it.

hhaha anyways, now that I've fixed up my car I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for meeting up (what day, every week, twice a month, where at? etc.)
Plus there's Volksfest coming up on Nov. 1 in Phoenix, maybe do a group drive that Sunday morning to go to the show (if anyone's interested).

I have a number for a tshirt company if anyone has a good idea for a logo (if you guys want shirts :] I know I do!)
