Interesting that its the same support piece on both sides. If you look in the pics on one side the pressing goes in, on the other it goes out.

Just about done. Just need to finish the front seat frames, repair the oG rear seat, get them upolstered and finish a few odds and ends. Should be done with what I have to do in the next 2 weeks. Then on to a new project

Getting closer

These look so cute together

132 hp of burning love, it's just a driver with a little umph

what a wiring nightmare, relays, fuses, fuel pump, fuel filter, pressure regulator and a pressure gauge, all just to feed the IDA's

Thanks Jeff for the little fuse block, it looks cute in there

I have the chrome trim rings, actually polished aluminum. This is what we have so it'll all work just fine

Why is it not a deluxe pod?

All systems go. Got it running today so I could test all the new systems on the bus.

Power brakes "check" this thing is going to stop on a dime
Hydrolic clutch system "check" soft and smooth
Fuel delivery system "check" 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. constant
Oil cooling system "check" no leaks, couldn't get it hot enough to trip the cooling fan

Tomorrow I'll hang the rack and pinion steering, install the dash and finish up the dash wiring and if it's still early enough install the safaris and lights and then GO FOR A DRIVE.

All I'll have left to do is install the interior panels for shits and giggles, sunroof cover and the glass.

This bus has been fun, a headach and a TON of work, sometimes a PITA and others just plain fun to do.

Next project will be an easy one then nightmare in Havasu 2 begins

I should have the front seats back from the upolsterer Friday, close to original look and will also get all the trim on. Going to try and get as much done before the classic, but I'm running out of time.

It's a true KICK in the ass to drive.

The power brakes are nice and smooth, the hydraulic clutch is nice and soft, the rack and pinon steering is such a dream to drive, nice power from the engine. A few tweeks and the drivetrain is done and works better then expected

Wiring was a PITA, used a wiring works BD harness and added a few extra wires, but everything works great.

A tuff project coming to an end on my end.
