I know. I've learned the hard way that nothing you install on an ACVW is going to work right the first time. It's almost a general rule.

Thanks for your patience and encouragement. Your last post on this thread really challenged me to get it done and do it right.

Well, I have bad news again. After weeks of working as it should, the second bellows thermostat has failed. Luckily it was in the open position.

I'm on my iPod, so I can't embed, but you can see it here: http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/ilikepeeps/4064234953/sizes/m/

not sure what could have caused it, but it's very annoying.

Luckily I should not have too much longer before switching back to a t4

Is it possible to use the new style stat from VWoM?

This is designed for the type1. I would guess that it would work equally. Does anyone else have any other experiences? As long as the German Supply method of adapting a T1 stat still works?

I'll be switching back to a T4, so it doesn't matter. But it's certainly what I would recommend to a buyer if I can manage to sell the T1 engine.

Has anyone bought or used one of EVWparts tstats for a type IV bus engine? I understand the temp to open is going to be lower. however, is everything else the same? Bolt up, flap operation, cooling, etc?? Thanks.

Jack
