Calling Joe.

You hosted an event with hundreds of people and you have a forum thread 5 pages long with comments, questions, and a lot of unanswered questions.

You have sponsors of your event making statements about things that should have been handed out, awards, grab bags, t-shirts, cash?

If you could be ever so kind as to step it up and reply to some of people who supported this event and made it what it was. It would be greatly appreciated.

I apologize if I'm breaking any forum rules or anything but seriously. The community makes these events what they are and without it you have nothing, the least you could do is reply to some of the things being said and clear some stuff up as they're all valid points. You ignoring 5 pages of questions/comments on vortex is a giant "fuck you" to everyone who supported this event, myself included.

So whatta ya say? :o

Please note that i'm talking about the event held inside the ocean center, dubjam - and nothing else.

Ive already addressed the issue.

I only starting posting again yesterday morning & just got upto date with
all of this yesterday. I usually take a week off after WinterJam. On top of
that I was also sick for a few days as well, so I just got back online.

I think you should at least try to get a little something back from the local businesses where the bus show is being held, they are, after all, benefitting from having the bus show there........

just some ideas, observations......either way, Joe, Bill, Bubba, Chadd, Mike and all the other guys involved in making this happen do not deserve to be fucked with......constructive critisism, hell yes...complaints voiced in a respectful manner, hell yes...hopefully next year's show will be even better, hope to see you all there......only a year left till the next show.... :D :D :D :D

Exactly! Was the OldSpeed exhibit with the H2O cars? I didn't go to it but liked it last year. It took me a while to find my way into the bandshell. I ended up going under a hotel...never saw a sign for the show. I would have liked a T-shirt or goody bag or something. I signed up for the free swap space at WJ but they had no record of me on their sheets. I wasn't even listed as going to the Bus show, even though I pre-registered and they had a window card for me when I got there.

Too many events, not enough coordination. Great venues. Last years WJ was better even if the swap sucked. This years swap was better. This whole show weekend could go from good to great with a few tweaks. It is still good but it doesn't live up to the hype...at least not this year.

just got the super vw magazine in from france... WOW! the whole issue is dedicated to Florida and the southeast! I would say over 50 pages dedicated to the winterjam show and spots on the east coast!!! I think you can view pics on the website as well. I will see if i can get a box of mags for people to buy to save on shipping costs. hit me up if you want one. finally florida is getting some respect!~ btw no pics of trikes or restored supers.... :wink:

we're getting some magazines for the Alte Schule guys, I'm talking to the editor in chief since I know him. Got mine last week as I'm subscribed and scanned some of the pages, they're on my flickr account. Oh and ..... my restored super is in there ;)

thanks gary, i would be interested. mr collombet did a full shoot on my car on friday at destination daytona. i am curious if its in the winterjam issue or if he decided to wait until a later issue. i did see an inset it the winterjam article. btw thanks for the scans.
