So-----I'm sorting out my excess toy and literature inventory to bring to Ed Economy's extravaganza at the Crowne Plaza on Saturday.
What to bring?
Really great stuff at fair prices, or so-so cheap stuff?
How is the market in Cali?
I'm going to haul it out from Iowa (that's where the tall corn grows. ) |

No you don't!
I realize most of you out'O'towners station yourselves at the CP, but you should at least take a drive to the "BlakStar" campout if just to check it out! 8)

I will finally be making both Blackstar and the Classic for the first time, and I live in So-Cal!! Hopefully the new '60 SC will be ready to roll by then....I think the term is Hillbilly Chic. Makes ya want to throw up a little.
Hope to see some of my BBB friends, Winston & I will be there!! |

Toys I don't know but literature bring whatever you have. If you have to choose, bring the good stuff because I could buy it and I have most of the common pieces. I always seem to sell more little parts and VW-related items there than actual literature. |

Seeing that we are driving out, I'm going to bring quite a lot of stuff rather than shipping it out only to ship it back home again. I'll probably need two tables this year. |

| Is there a cheap motel or something similar near the show? I'll be driving from sacramento and will be staying the night in town, I might stop at a few vw shops such as gene berg and such, if anybody knows of a motel, let me know, looking forward to the show |

Again, you can't get cheaper than the BlackStar campout! If you don't have a camper, buy yourself a cheap tent and claim your turf there. That'll be your "headquarters" from which you can go and enjoy all the week's events! I'm sure your "stuff" will be safe there as our gracious hosts are there for the duration! :P |

Red Roof Inn on Main Street in Santa Ana is cheap....usually around $50 a night. Probably 10-15 minutes from the Classic, 10-15 minutes from Bergs, 15-20 minutes from cruise night. 45 seconds from Hot Dog Freds house!!
Not fancy....but pretty inexpensive & very centrally located to all of the action. |

Anyone meeting up for a caravan down? I am driving my bus from Reno and would like to meet up with others driving down if at all possible.
Or maybe someone can trailer my shit down and I will pay the gas. |
