X2  . unless you re-weld that particular section back to the car, you will proll yhave to use a small fuel cell, or round aluminum or poly tank. Unless you got something else up your sleeve
i used square tubing to make a frame that holds my stock tank after the PO had cut off too much sheet metal. |

Scored some rear fenders from a friend last night for 40 bucks, they are brand new too. I saw a thread about them using threaded rivets or something? Is that pretty much the only way to mount them? And another thing, I dont know how im going to mount my front end, i will probably use dzeus fasteners on the sides but dint know what to do for the front. Any ideas? Thanks.
Oh and these are the fenders i got.

| Be careful, if it is green stickered it will have to be towed on a trailer, the wheels not touching the ground. The DMV told me all street registration dues are due the second the wheels touch paved road. |

You are talking about state laws and may not apply in all states. |

True..
But the big "SocCal" sticker on his vehicle and I don't think any other state has a "green sticker" registration scheme.. |

Yeah, i forgot about that. All i have is a tow bar. And i cant pull my dads flat bed with my truck cause its too big. Its already registered and taged for the street so i will most likely just re register it and insure it. Plus it is nicer to have something you can drive on the street too.
Just picked up a nutserts tool from harbor freight. Got home marked where the holes need to go and realzed i dont have an extention cord that will reach my car and theres njo beam currintly on it. And i need to get some bolts anyways. So untill i get a beam and some bolts the rear fenders are not going on. |

thats a good idea my friend tried to get his s-10 green stickered and he had to prove to them why it wasnt street legal anymore so he just said forget it. oh and make sure you register it BEFORE you drive it. i just got my baja running and took it to dove springs last weekend. they cought me impounded it and im sitting at $190 an hour for the tow plus impund, plus i have to drive 2hrs to get it and registration fees, it will be about a $600 lesson learned. just my $.02.
nice build though always good to see! |
