need some help with testing my alternator.
I could possibly have a bad diode, how can I test for this, I'm getting a very frustrating voltage leak that is killing me!
I have tried using a test light between the ground strap and my battery, disconnected everything and it stays lit, checked my battery on a load test all is good. Got some advice regarding perhaps a bad diode on my alternator.....how do I test it?

Disconnect the B=wires from alternator and retest. You can also use a lab scope it will have a continuos sine wave if it is good.

WOOO HOOO found it!
lesson learned...check the damn obvious..
Evidently it turned out to be the dang grounding strap.
Never even thought of it...decided to work my way back until I found it, thankfully it was the first thing I checked!
