You can put me down for "sometimes"... When I know I will be making some speed runs, definitely. Other runs that are more mellow not so much. I should probably wear one all the time, but don't.

I'm with Skid on this one. When I go to the Oregon Dunes with my sandrail/quads/dirtbikes I wear a helmet. When I play in the baby dunes here in Eureka, Ca. not so much, as it is all low speed, 10-15 mph

It depends on where I'm driving. If I know without a doubt, I'm going to be going slow without tip/rollover risk, I'll run without it.
If I have never run the trail, On it goes... |

I am the same. If I know I will be pushing hard, jumping, wheelies, and such, on goes the helmet beforehand. I use a dot approved Harley Davidson full helmet with face shield. Its twin saved my life in the bike wreck, so I know it will do the job if needed.

Me also. I usally ride with one at all times. I don;t have a windshield and have eaten a rock in the face before. I still have a little scar from it   But if I'm on my property just running easy I wont wear one. But 80% of the time I do wear a full face.

I auto cross race and a helmet is REQUIRES to get on track.....
Never seen a situation in the 5 years I have been racing where helmet was "used" but you can bet first time car goes out and driver does NOT have helmet, there will be a problem.....
IF you are taking "car" out of parking/camp area to play wear one, you only have one head....

I am also a sometimes helmet wearer. When we get crazy, it goes on. But most of the time....no. Until I get a Parker Pumper anyways...... :D

Only thing it gives you is a WINDSHIELD........ DO NOT be lulled in to the false sense of security it will help you in a serious event where head gets banged around a bit...

If your offroad and the car is caged, I'd wear a helmet. We obviously wear them to race, but even when we are just testing the car, seatbelts and helmets. May save your life. Dosn't take much of a hit to the head for a brain injury. On the streat I would not......
