I've never been a very aggressive driver, so no, I have never worn a helmet. Although, I might wear one once I get my baja going since it's pretty tight fitting with the cage

Has anyone seen the helmets the Nascar pit crews use? The face is very open, but they do have a bar running across the bottom. I was going to get a Simpson open face, but since I run autocross and want to get back into stock cars, I'll probably get a nice Bandit helmet

If you are wanting to wear a helmet for safety and not just for requirements I would do your research on them. You dont always get what you pay for with the more expensive helmets but almost all cheap helmets are "cheap". I wouldnt trust my dome to a $75 helmet i bought at walmart. When im on my dirt bike i want to know that if i go down my head is the last thing i need to worry about.

My bug isnt quite ready yet but I will be carrying my helmet in my car at all times. I was thinking about making a mount or holder for it in the back seat area. Anytime im not on an established trail/road it will be on.
